20 facts about me

Hello there you two, sorry it took me so long to get this done but now it already is. I am thankful that both of you still remember me as your friend, and I did not ever forget on how you guys thought of me when tagging your friends to play with the game.

So here's a very detailed version of the facts about me that I could say most of my friends wouldn't know 90% of them, as an appreciation for still acknowledging my presence. It'll be a quite a long read, so you're gonna take some time to read it all through until the end.

1. I was a fat boy since young, only then to lose huge amount of weight back when I was standard 6. It all happened due to puberty strikes, my interest to a girl begin to immerge and being the fat round boy, there is literally zero chances for girls to be interested talking to you. Hence, what I did was to have light meals - only ate bread for two recess session during school time just to make sure I don’t starve myself, also in other way to save money to purchase pokemon-digimon related merchandise.

Back then I was given RM1 for half day, and RM3 for extra class days. One bread cost like 50 cents, so I was able to save money that way. As for dinner, I only ate sufficient amount of white rice with kicap sauce for the whole night. And we guys usually scale slower with our growth in height when we were young, and girls wouldn’t like you if you’re shorter than them.

So the daily 100 jumps and 20 sit ups before going to bed is practiced too. Slowly my school uniform feels big in size and my short pants became real loose. Got myself up to 50kg and 168cm during form1, mom was surprised how slim was I when he realized my waist size is 32 only, also being in the average height group of boys.

2. I’m very shy person in general. It used to be way worse back then, where I have major difficulties in communicating with opposite gender. I had zero confident in engaging conversation with girls in real life, usually when they ask me anything or talk to me, I will give all short close-ended answers. Worst part was towards my crushes, where butterflies in my stomach was too overwhelming that I would avoid myself from facing them, and didn’t dare to approach and talk to them at all. I only am able to engage with my crushes through text, calls, msn or any technology assistance.

Part of the traits still exist in me now, as you will see me being all quiet if I’m being put into a social group or situation which I’m not comfortable with. Some people see the opposite of me though where I’m being all talkative and loud, but it’s just a mere agenda to override my shyness.

Different people see me in different way, some of them will be surprised to see me being all talkative suddenly, when I was just being all quiet like a total listener and a good boy most of the time. While those who generally see me being all loud will think I’m being emotional when I’m quiet.

3. I’m an extremist kind of person that can go in both directions. So it’s either something that is really good, or something that is really bad. That applies in lots of interaction I react towards my life, where some people may see as a very good friend, while some may see me as a cruel and lousy friend. I can be either one, depending on how I value and perceive you as one. Usually there wouldn’t be something in the middle, it will always be go all out or don’t bother.

4. I’m very committed with the things that I do. I see it as I do not want to waste my time in committing things that I’m not interested of. This makes me to be very serious of what I’m doing, especially towards things that really matters to me. You may see me slack with my work, but if I’m really up to task I’ll do it with full effort. Needing to finish assignment by tomorrow? I’ll be in full focus and to make sure I’ll get it done by time. My colleagues are surprised on how serious am I at work at times, because I didn’t like half effort work when it needs to be done correctly.

But it’s not all work or serious related matters, it involves all other stuff including having fun too. I’ll be all crazy and humorous, being lame or annoying just the way I am as long as I am actually enjoying and having a good time being playful. That perhaps may explain why my friends find me crazy, and to pretend that they didn’t know who am I as their friend whenever I go all cuckoo.

5. I have a very significant birth mark on my right thigh. It used to be a small black dot like tahi lalat that kind, but it grew to be bigger as I grow older. So now it’s like a black circle patch in the middle of my right thigh.

My mom refers it as if I were to be found missing, that will be the best clue to identify me as her son. Most likely no one other than my family members & relatives knows this except if you happen to notice it when I’m changing whenever I go for swimming/badminton.

6. I don’t know how to ride a bicycle. Not that I never rode one before, but I used to ride them with 3 wheels behind when I was 4-6ish years old. And I never made any progress to learn to ride independently without those extra wheels. So, there goes my future plan for a romantic bicycling riding session with my SO.

7. I have mild phobia for ice-skating. Back when I was form3, my friend invited me to go for ice skating together at sunway pyramid. The first step I went into the ring, I fell down straight away. My buttock hurts like mad, my left arm was worse as it was straining inside the bone. I ended up tried skating one round of the whole ring while grabbing the sides, only to exit and sit in the resting corner because my left arm was too painful to keep on skating. Sitting there and enduring the pain while waiting my friend to finish skating in about 1 hour or more only to go back home.

Complained to parents about the pain and went to see Chinese tit tar the next day, turns out my shoulder joint was dislocated. My left arm had some cracking movements by the specialist, got my arm wrapped with herbs where I smell like a Chinese medicine going to school for 3 months.

8. I love dogs very much, just like how some girls will be all excited and curious whenever they sees a cute baby and wanted to play with them. Yep, that is how I am whenever I see any kind of dogs in my sight. I’ll have the natural tendency of wanting to approach and play with the dog, and to touch and cuddle it if possible. My eyes will tend to glue to the dog as I’m really interested in observing its behaviour and so, and to smile stupidly if I happen to see any cute doggie with their funny behaviour.

Show me any dogs and I’ll try to be friend with them! I pamper MJ so so much that I treated him like my baby boy. I think I care more about dogs than human to some extent. On the downside, it turns out to be my kryptonite. My heart cannot take it if I ever seen any dogs being harmed by anyone. Ask me to watch dog related shows like “Marley and me” or “hachiko”, you’ll see me cry like a crybaby.

Those who sat nearby me during pet behavioural studies class would notice that well. And by the way, I haven’t had the guts to watch Hachiko yet, because I heard it was way depressing than Marley and Me.

9. Mathematics will always remain as my most confident and favourite subject throughout entire life. Proud to be one of the students who scores averagely on exams but excels greatly on mathematics related subject (A+ in SPM for both maths and additional maths). Partly of it should be due to good foundation in understanding and solving mathematics when I was young. I got enrolled into abacus class when I was about 5 years old up until around 13 years old. Techniques of mind calculation definitely helped me to count things better and faster.

That perhaps makes me to feel very comfortable with numbers, and I like to challenge myself in solving it whenever a complicated math question comes to me. It triggers my sense of competitiveness and I feel the reward of satisfaction whenever I’m able to solve it.

This is why I held lots of emphasizing in having good foundation when we are young for us to learn something and to understand it in order to develop further interest and to excel at it. I was being very particular with my sister whenever she does not know how to do her math homework and went to seek for my help, because if she is not do not understand the basic concepts by now, she would struggle in the future when more advanced chapters are being covered which she will never be able to understand without mastering the basics.

My add math tutor actually recommended me to pursue for actuarial science since I’m good in add math, but I ended up didn’t pursue it as I choose not to put myself in suffocation as I was told it is not an easy course to excel on it. Oh and, did I mentioned that my friends do label me as human calculator in real life?

10. My dream occupation when I was young was to be a kindergarten teacher. I wasn’t being an easy kid to be handled when I was in my kindergarten years, and I have this interest to try in teaching a group of kids and finding ways to make them listen to me. As we do know young kids are hard to be controlled to be disciplined all the time as it takes lots of lots of patience, but I feel like going up the challenge for some reason.

This explains why I specifically chose for the kindergarten teacher scope when I did my job analysis as the part of assignment requirement for I/O subject. Maybe one day when I’m really stabilised financially and all settled down, I’ll either apply for a kindergarten teacher position or to have my own kindergarten!

11. I once told my form teacher when I was form 5 that I’ve decided to get married and settle down by the age of 25. I’ll go for pre-u course after SPM, then to pursue 3-4 years of psychology degree. I’ll be finishing my degree around 21-22 years old, and will start working right after that. I’ll have around 3 years’ time to build up my savings in for my wedding dinner and family planning (That is how I got my lame retarded excuse whenever my friend accusing me of not having money, I would’ve just told them I’m saving money for my wedding dinner).

I should be getting a girlfriend around 19 to 22 years old being the latest as I prefer to stabilize the relationship with a time frame of 3 years or more just so that we could move on to next step comfortably, and to have my first child by the age of 27. I wish to see the junior version of me earlier and to see them all grown up before I’m too old to witness their wonderful journey in life.

That is my ideal plan. And what was my form teacher response? She laughed through it and deems my plans to be unrealistically possible.

12. My main purpose of pursuing the degree of psychology is actually related with my ideal plan to have a family early as mentioned above. I’ve told my form teacher that I know it is hard for people to settle down early as we may not be mature enough to think properly as a whole more than self. Even supported by statistical figures, couples who married early tend to have high divorce rate. Psychology helps to build up my understanding with people better, so it would help me in identifying the proper ways in handling situation or any difficult task that may come upon to me whenever I walk my path with my SO.

My field of interest in psychology pathway is towards education. Being young parents would generally have zero knowledge in nurturing a child properly, or to have less patience or proper skills in handling children. Pursuing education psychology allows me to know how to educate my children better, giving them the positive direction to grow along with.

That may explains why my wish to become a kindergarten teacher as I would want every young kids to be given proper education and guideline in becoming a good human being, as I believe a good upbringing is all it takes to determine a person’s behaviour (in the form of trust, love and respect) in the future.

13. I don’t particularly eat any rice or white rice specifically. I will avoid eating them as much as possible especially for dinner. This habit comes back when I was 16, my elder brother had the intention of losing weight. He sort of gave a mini lecture to my mom regarding rice whereby it contains lots of carbohydrates which provides you energy. However if the carbs intake was not being used, it stays inside your body which will develop into fats.

Therefore, he prefers to have noodles/or mee instead as they contain lesser carbs than rice. And that is how I fixed it into me and prefer to avoid consuming rice at all. You will see me having a typical Chinese dinner with my family with an empty plate, the dishes will be my intake for my dinner. It allows me to enjoy my meal even more given that I’m being selective in only consuming foods that give nutrition and good taste rather than plain white rice that tastes nothing but just to fill up your stomach.

My colleagues do find me weird to have such behaviour, seemingly that we Asians generally do not consider as a proper meal without rice. So sometimes I’ll just have a little bit of rice to be seen as normal. I already have this fixed mind set in my brain whereby I will feel very guilty if I were to consume huge amount of rice for meal (on some case, you just cannot deny it when they already serve it to you). It does make me very full, but I have the anxious of feeling that it’s going to make me turn fat easily.

However, usually there will be consideration in eating rice on lunch during uni/working hours just so that I won’t feel hungry in the middle of nowhere. Because, something with rice will always come with cheaper price and fulfilment of your hunger compared to steaks or noodles etc.

14. Banana, durian, and strawberry. These three types of fruits/flavours are my top 3 list. Give me any kind of edible food with any of these flavour and I’ll definitely eat them, and to like them with 80% of the time. Similarity for all of them to be sweet taste though. Banana and durian flavours food are hard to come by, so it’s usually strawberry as my preferred choice especially when it comes to ice cream, milkshake, waffles, bread topping, or just everything else you could think of. But when given the chance, I’ll be very excited for such availability and would definitely order them over anything else.

Usually when people were to pick for ice cream among the top 3 common flavours (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry), most of the people’s preference would be chocolate as first choice, followed by vanilla and only for strawberry to be last. It’s kind of hard to find someone having same preference on strawberry over than other two. I can’t say much about the other two of my liking, though durian seems part of the favourite for some people, or it could be the opposite where people dislike it a lot. Banana lovers are quite rare too. I think I have odd preference in fruit/flavour preference.

15. I and my two brothers play things or activities together since we were young. We will always follow each other on what to do and what is the current trend of the game etc., with a little bit influence from my cousin brother as well (notably slam dunk series, dragon ball series and StarCraft). We could gel well due to age gap between all of us weren’t that huge (1991, 1992 and 1994). My mom used to label us as power rangers as we had a picture of us together where we posed with our hands and legs all up, or even to have table seats side by side.

Our parents gave us the habit to hold a handkerchief for multiple uses, and it definitely benefit me as I really use it quite often since I’m quite sensitive to heat, causing me to easily sweat. How my mom assigns us our very own handkerchief is through different colours given to each of us. My elder brother got blue, my younger brother got red, and I got myself green. And that is how it became as my favourite colour.

Pink was the second favourite colour I’ve picked up recent years indirectly, because Facebook used to be trendy with the online game called Restaurant City. I’ve painted and designed my restaurant to be all pink in order to grab a girl’s attention which she was my crush. She was a year younger than me, and definitely being in a different group of peers from me. I didn’t know any other ways to approach her, so that totally helped me out when she dropped a comment just to say how awesome my restaurant is.

From then on it became a positive reinforcement for me to like the colour pink as a form of gaining people’s attention since it is unusual for a guy to like pink. I got myself pink phone, pink wallet and pink shoes. Then my friends gave me more pink goodies for my birthday, which completed me a full set of pink equipment.

I have to admit though as year has passed, the coolness starts to die off and I was embarrassed to carry my pink bag at times since it is very hard to match with my outfit to look decent and to not look funny. Or perhaps I’ve started to be grown up and to be more particular in picking outfits that resembles maturity. Gone are the days where I wear colourful outfits with cartoon picture t-shirt just to be all colourful and lively.

16. I am a very gullible person. I am easily believed into what people told me regardless of their true intention whether it is something real/right or fake/wrong. This applies to literally everyone, regardless of someone I know or some stranger which I never seen before. My brain have this fixed mind set where whatever that comes out from people’s mouth is what they really meant from the bottom of their heart.

I think I easily have this mind set because that is generally how I played myself out – I say what I really mean all the time (unless occasionally where I was fooling around, what I’ve said from my mouth is totally not what I meant at all, not a single tiny bit). When I am giving to you my word, you can trust me into it for me to do all my will into delivering and making sure it kept the same of what I’ve said to you. I don’t like giving false promises to people. It represents a sense of mistrust from others towards me, which is why I hold heavily onto what I’ve ever promised to anyone.

If I were to have failed upon delivering it, you will see me to be heavily affected by it emotionally. I will see myself as a failure for not keeping up to my promise. I don’t want people to give me their full trust and believe and only to see me not being able to achieve it for whichever particular reasons whether I was faking it by not trying hard to earn it or whether I have gave my all and still not made it. I don’t really make promises to anyone, though at circumstances where I was forced to make one (giving your word to customer at workplace), and when I’ve failed, the feeling of guilt will be overwhelming me so much I can’t functioning properly for a period of time. But when I do, you can be very sure that I’ll give my very best to achieve it.

So how does this backfire to me? I expected others to trust me the same way, and at times people can easily just give fake promises just to sugar coat their way out of difficult situation, only for me to be dealt with the consequences. I took in whatever is mentioned as their promises without suspecting any hidden agenda where it may occur, sometimes so much that it seems for me to be that stupid to be so delusional. I am one who easily responds to act of kindness as I believe in helping someone with all I can whenever someone really needs one, as you never know one day you might be in the same situation as them, and you sure do hope someone could give you a helping hand when you need the most. I got scammed up to RM2000 because of that.

Not on one occasion, it happens more than once. How it happened? Stranger approached me, needed money to go this to do that, gave what I can offer to help them a little, somehow managed to be convinced their situation being urgent for cash, got persuaded to give full amount to “save” their asses at the end of the day.

Why was it so easy on me? Because I wanted to help, so much that I am able to lose what I’m not ready to lose in hoping to make someone’s day. And when it occurred to me that when I could no longer retrieve back my money that is where it all struck down upon me. It was not because of the act of greediness, as they always offered to pay me more than I’m lending them in return but I told them to just return me the same amount I’ve offered. Just as long as it will return back to me…which it never did.

Personality aside, my facial appearances do seem to be an approachable person. I seem to have the kind of face where they would know I’ll definitely help them out somehow. I have been approached by quite amount of strangers before asking me for guidance in public transports (since I’ve been travelling using it quite often nowadays), or to borrow my phone to make phone calls etc. Some would just talk to me casually inside the train, asking me questions of what am I do, where am I from and so. Those are all genuine approach without any intention of scam or harm, and I do feel good whenever I am able to help someone out.

It gives me the sense of joy whenever you are provide solutions to someone who have just approached you for help, it makes you to be reliable from their view, because they would not have approached you in the first place if they don’t see you as someone who could help them out (at least from my perspective). On other cases though, that is where I easily fell into being a victim.

My parents are extra worried of me because of my gullibility, because they know I am especially helpful to strangers or people who I barely knew and I am easily to be persuaded with whatever comes out from others’ mouth. They were worried when I told them one of my customers (she’s married) took me out for grocery shopping and dinner because she knew I was unfamiliar with the place.

They will ask me who is she, why is she doing all this to you etc. They were worried when I bought myself a nice looking watch as they might think I got scammed into buying a fake one. They will ask my brothers head to shopping malls (after I bought the watch) to survey the price just to make sure I wasn’t conned, even though I told them before that I’ve did that already before I purchase the watch.

Among all of my siblings, my parents are worried about me the most not by the reasons of me performing bad illegal acts, but by the basis of me easily fooled by the outer world. They agreed among themselves whereby among the 3 of us brothers, I will be the first one to be getting married because I will end up being “conned” by a girl to settle down as soon as possible.

Though I’m the most mature one among 3 of them in making decisions in general as they relies on me to shoulder more responsibility whenever situations required, I’m still the one they are worried the most. They don’t really show it in front of me most of the time, but I know they do. I love you daddy. I love you mommy.

17. I like to give other people surprises in any forms of way, that’s because everyone loves surprises when it’s a good one. The part where they least expects it is the perfect spot to strike them when they are totally not prepared with managing their emotions. That is where you truly see how they felt whenever the surprise struck right upon them, a wide grin, blushing faces, wide smile, giggle, or even tears of joy.

All of those response are totally priceless, because it can never come from anywhere from any point of time, especially of those are truly genuine. Usually a surprise only works if it comes unexpectedly and if it occurred in a huge factor, hence I always believe a surprise has to be something unusual, the part where they will never imagine or to see it coming is where you truly beat down their this form of wall from triggering their genuine happiness.

People who been around with me would know I have managed to plan quite amount of celebration events, which most of them are hidden from the targeted individual/group. I like to make it big, involving as many people as I can, disregarding the cost investment for making it happen. I don’t mind spending big chunk of cash if it’s a vital for making the surprise to be a total success.

I always go all out in planning surprises, sometimes to the extent my co-planners are confused/annoyed with how demanding I want every single bit of the event to be planned as it will happen. Usually it involves giving surprise to someone who are really close to me which I just feel like working my ass off just to make their day, or sometimes it could be just a thankful approach to people I appreciate of (e.g. I burned my lunch time, dragged some of my poor coursemate in getting down to business with me through obtaining helium balloons, came in late for class, created havoc at Psych department office during Teacher’s day on my second year).

Lots of effort definitely, but the outcome when it worked out accordingly is always good. The part where you get to see the surprise “victim” is very happy because you just made his/her day, and the part where I feel happy myself inside because I managed to pull off the plan as what I wanted accordingly. I like picturing how the surprise would be like and how it would turn out in the end, making sure that the surprise will always be a success factor. If it’s not good enough? Add more spices and materials to make it even more dramatic to enhance the surprise factor. I like to see people around me to be happy, as I believe happy is the way of fulfilling life. We are always surrounded with all other negative vibes that it is rare for one to be happy most of the time.

That is why I believe a surprise is generally the best option of all to make someone happy, because it is one of those task which requires lots of effort which not everyone is willing to do so, because a surprise happens once in a blue moon to anyone, because a surprise is usually given out by the one who those are very close to you, which not everyone has that someone to be determined to give you that. We always complain about how a minor bad event in an average day has been ruining our day, and most of us barely have any significant event throughout our life that you will always remember upon your whole life.

I try to give surprise as many friends as I can, because I like to see people around me to genuinely smile and feel happy. I just want to make their day, to make them have memorable moments in any part of their life. They will always to eventually smile genuinely each time they happen to look back into it. That is what I want to do, to “haunt” them these moments which will lingers with them their whole life, pairing with a wide genuine smile and a full load of joy.

How extreme with my surprise planning depends on my mood though, as sometimes my brain can become creative with all crazy ideas to make it bombastic, while certain times it may be my off day when I can never picture any good ways to give a good surprises. At one point I do thought of venturing into event management field because I like planning on celebration events for other people.

I just love the celebration environment where everyone is happy for the same purpose. Always nice to see a bunch of happy people hanging around with you and enjoying their time the same reason as you do.

18. Most significant tool to be spotted with me all the time? A big bulky water bottle. You will see me carrying a water bottle with me all the time wherever I go, just like a school kid with his signature water bottle. Literally everywhere, going to work, going to school, going for shopping, going for meals, going for yumcha, going for vacation etc. It’s like the bottle is stuck with me everywhere with the sling on my shoulder, just like how girls bring their handbag. It used to be a big green water bottle, only then to change into this Tupperware water bottle with the sling which increase so much of the convenience to bring it everywhere I go.

Sometimes my friends see me as a cheapskate since I’m going out for meals/supper and I’m not ordering any drinks since I have my water bottle with me already. Of course that definitely helped me in saving money especially at times where my pocket money is quite limited from what my parents gave me. It all begins back when I was in primary school, my parents always want us to drink lots of water just so that we would not fall a sick easily. So that is definitely one of the way to gain my parents compliment, also I was different from other kids where I do not hate drinking water.

I used to drink lots of water whenever I’m on diet (I was very fat back then) in order to prevent myself from feeling hungry, only to result in liquidity constipation. Another story of it comes whereby I’m very addicted into playing computer games at young age. I’ll be sitting in front of the computer most of the time especially on school holidays. Sitting there like a glue, not willing to afford any moment of time to stand up to get some food to eat or to even drink water.

It ended up with my parents constantly nagging and scolding us for neglecting everything else just because of computer games. Well eating meals do not occur most of the time since the main course is only three in a day, as compared with drinking sufficient water that if we were to drink a glass of water at every hour, it will be quite troublesome to do so.

So, the genius I came up with filling up a big water bottle and to be put beside my seat. That definitely helped in preventing the nagging from my parents from not drinking water the whole day. My parents even used me as a good example to my other siblings for having a water bottle beside me to constantly drink water.

From then on it slowly became as a habit. My body is adjusted to the high frequency of water intake, and now I became a person who needs to drink lots of water. I feel dehydrated easily whenever I know there isn’t any water supply I could obtain around me. That part of not having water supply creates anxiety in my body, which creates a bodily chemical reaction that makes me to feel thirsty easily. I will drink more water than I usually would whenever I have my water bottle with me in such case. And now, I and water is bonded together.

Water is love. Water is life. I’ve tried to not bring my water bottle around that often nowadays though, because it may seem indecent/inconvenient to bring along with on certain occasions. Carrying water bottle with me all around would make me look like a small boy, which at times you don’t want to be seen as one especially if you dressed up all smart.

I’ll just leave it inside the car instead in case if there is any emergency in my state of hyper dehydration. Gotta start learning to buy plastic disposable water bottle that you could get rid of it anytime it brings you hassle.

19. Six main tastes we have in this world: Sweet, sour, bitter, salty, spicy and astringent. Most people favourite pick would be sweet, like how they treat sweet desserts as their heaven. My choice would be sour instead. I like any kind of food that is sour taste.

The higher the sour level, the more enjoyable I find the food is. I think it call came from how I was given to try sour plum juice when I was young, and then to consume dried sour plum in class during standard 6 in order to stay awake especially in the afternoon extra class hours (We weren’t allow to consume food or any sweet at all, but my teacher gave the exception of dry sour plum as a way to excite our taste buds, allowing us to stay awake through the day).

And I loved it ever since, you will see me keep complimenting how awesome the food taste when it’s very sour. Best part of Chinese New Year is I get to eat the yee sang, which I love it so so much. My taste buds are weird sometimes, because on certain foods which are average on sour level I will find it to be sweet, but to others it will be too sour for their liking.

Anything that comes with sweet and sour taste will be the best combination for my liking (sweet and sour pork for example). If it’s paired with one of my favourite flavors (for example, strawberry and some may taste more sour than sweet, but it has both of it), then you will see a very happy boy as it doubles the enjoyment. I like it on dishes that are sour at the extreme level because I like to how it has the after taste effect which spikes your tongue, allowing me to play tasting with my tongue inside the mouth (like if you were to try tasting on the dish, you do the muak muak sound a few times) since the sour presence is still inside lingering that excites me.

People would give the disgusted face whenever they taste something which is too sour for them, but I will give a very satisfied and happy look that clearly show I’m enjoying with what I’m having. I don’t really like asam laksa even though asam laksa is one of the very sour dishes, as it comes with spicyness as well. That involves tomyam steamboat too. I’m one who can’t really take spicy food, preferable only at a low or average level of spicyness as I would easily sweat, my cheeks go red and to have running nose if I’m eating something that is too spicy for my liking.

That does not stop me from eating spicy food though, I just choose to eat less of them in order to maintain my calmness from my body in overreacting towards it.

20. Contrary to popular belief, I’m still a firm believer of true love still exist even though how the society’s perception of love and relationship is so messed up nowadays. I believe I am one who will pampers my SO very much like a princess. It’s pretty easy for me to go the distance in order to make my SO’s day, most of the time without a second thought if there’s ever a chance to achieve it.

I’ll be pampering my SO so much that I might zone myself out from my peers or friends in order to accommodate her demands/needs. So, a possessive SO would definitely steal my soul away!! But in all thoughts, I just want my SO to know that I’m very thankful for her in giving me chance to be with her, and for that I’ll return her with unlimited of pampering, love, and caring, and everything little things that she ever wants me from doing it.

If you would give me the chance, I won’t take that chance for granted as I see it as you put your trust on me, and I aint gonna ever take it for granted. So be prepared to be filled with full of lovey doveyness, because I just like to make you blushingly smile every single day when you are too overwhelmed by it. I’ll have lots of creative ideas just to trap you in the bubbliness of my love.

I don’t mind learning to do house chores or to learn cooking just to help my SO out if she feels like not doing it at all. I hope the day where I have my own family, whenever I come back home from work, I would help my SO out with her chores and any errands just to ease her burden. Because I will treat her like a princess, or a queen if she has already settled down with me.

I will always remember myself to always shower my SO with full of love because she has chosen to be with you and I should be grateful for her to decide to go along the path with me. If she ever feels that she’s have any trouble, do not worry a little at all because I’ll always have it covered.

Though I never had the chance to unleash my full potential in regards of this still, my friends can see me being as what I’ve described myself as, as I ever quoted evidently to my friend that I will “sek sei lei” in Cantonese, referring that I’ll pamper her till she feels like dying (literally direct translation).

My friend was disgusted with the way I describe how I’ll pamper my future SO because it was too overwhelming in the description of how much effort I’ll put in it, but I guess that is how they see it will be something true eventually if I come by the chance to show it one day.

List of most significant guy best friend in every year of my study life

Standard 1, 7 years old, 1999
Chan Sze Hou

Most memorable moment: It was 3rd quarter of the year, my form teacher who taught us Chinese was writing down exam syllabus for upcoming test. My vision was blur due to extensive amount of hours playing computer games and hence not being able to copy down what it was written from the board (I wasn't wearing spectacles still back then). I was seated quite at the back, 7th/8th row from the board. Sze Hou was at the back of me, and hence my only solution was attempting to copy the syllabus by looking at his notes, trying to figure out what word he's writing. I'm weak in my chinese subject because i have zero exposure of it prior from entering primary school. So for me to not being able to copy from board, and needing to look back and interpret what he wrote, and to catch up with his pace is something very hard to do.

I ended up not knowing which syllabus to focus on for that term paper, and didn't manage to do well with it.
Of course that doesn't sound like a best buddy kind of thing, especially it's more of me to him than him to me, but I guess back then when I was young I didn't really know how to have fun with a real buddy. But he's the first person come into my mind since he sat just behind me, which could explain the proximity significance.

Standard 2, 8 years old, 2000
Khoo Jia Jun

Most memorable moment: One of the smartest guy in class. Relied him with homework (copying/peeking for answers) and remember of him a lot due to him seating next to me. Also very good in drawing, and math if my memory serves me right. Back then he's like the smartest guy in the class kind, so it feels good having him to be close to you where you indirectly became friends with him, and everybody loves having a smart friend in class to help you out with your homework. Especially when I was never labeled as smart student in my whole life, having an average of 26 being the highest, and 38 lowest as class standings among roughly 46-48 students each year. Top 10 students in my class are usually filled with girls, so he's one of the selected once to be included into the top 10.

Standard 3, 9 years old, 2001
Lim Shi Zhen

Most memorable moment: Badminton, and introduction to Ragnarok Online private servers. Back then Ragnarok Online is a pay to play game, and us being kids cannot afford to pay the high sustainability price. RM38 is considered as RM3800 to me back when I was a kid which is the price to pay for a month reload play time. His computer is good enough to be able to play that game, and he has a decent internet subscribed at his place, unlike mine. Hence, I find all sort of ways just to visit his place to be able to play the game.

There's one point of time where I lied to my parents saying there's bbq at the weekend at his place. I ended up playing RO the whole afternoon instead, and not having anything as lunch. Mom asked me what I had for bbq when she picked me up, I just blurted out any kind of meat like fish, chicken and beef etc.

Another particular event was worse than that, where I told my transporter I'm not following them back after school, went along with my friend's car back to his place instead. Spent whole day playing up until 8-9pm. I "sort of" informed my parents I'm heading to my friend's place for "project" purpose day before which they didn't hear it clearly. It ended up them being worried about me all day, called my relatives to gathered at my house and search around for me because they thought I got kidnapped or something. I had to kneel in front of the praying table for at least 2 hours before I can go to sleep that night. That was very embarrassing to reach home and seeing all your relatives gives you the "tsk tsk" look.

Standard 4-5, 10-11 years old, 2002-2003
Daryl Wong Chi Chung

Most memorable moment: Lied to me saying his dad is over 100 years old and I believed it. The old days of Kemahiran Hidup (living skills) group project where all the group members gathered up at his place just to have fun, meanwhile his dad is the one completing the project for us. "Our product" always stand out among the rest since it's highly professional work based on our standards, and we easily got high marks from it.
Known for his doctorish curvasive writing, gave me the first impression of letter writing, which his version is the fill-in-the-blanks to complete the paragraph letter. I failed to send back the letter through mail posting though, gave him during class instead.

Also the reason I got my first phone, nokia 3310 at the age of 12 due to his help. Back then having phones are deem as the cool group where we could sms each other and play meaningless miss call when we are bored. Of course I got screwed by my parents when they found out I actually have phone later on.

P/S: I still have the mini picture album you gave to me, which contain just two pictures.

Standard 6, 12 years old, 2004
Lee Min Xiang

Most memorable moment: Kaki bola. Specially active in gathering group of boys in our class and play football at the field near your house after class. That only happens after our UPSR exams, serves as a last moments of us spending time together before the farewell. It was fun and enjoying though, where there's one night we hanged out at his place up until night time. We could just be outside his house, sat down in circles, kick the ball around and joke around as we appreciate our last few moments together as classmates before we depart to our respective secondary schools the following year.

On other hand, we fought with each other before during one fine early morning before class starts. Can't really remember how it went, but you were pissing me off and I threw your mechanical pencil to your face. It gave you a slash on your cheek, like Samurai X kind of cross, but just one slash. Class rep decides to be kepohchi and reported to our form teacher, even though both of us refuse to bringing up further on this case and decide to end it that way. You decide to shrug it off and not putting the blame on me when our form teacher questioned you on who did that slash on your face. We both ended up got canned since fighting is not allowed in school. But I was happy that you decided to let it go and not inform your parents or teacher regarding the slash you got from me at the face, a true friend nonetheless. Will always remember that in my heart, sorry for the scar!!

Tan Jit Heang
Most memorable moment: One the those who sat somewhere near my seat which allowed to me to be friends with. Quite a smart guy, and known to be quite charismatic by the girls. Was very closed with Carmen Chew and Sara Thong, where they always tease with each other every single day (Chasing with one another during recess class?). Back then I had a crush in one of them, so being close with him would seem beneficial to me considering it gives me the chances to be closer to the girls. But of course, jealousy is definitely there, especially I was a fatty bom bom who perceives it hard to gain any girl's attention/interest.

All that aside, still a very good friend though I don't remember much of what we usually do, maybe it's how you were paired with yun yee, and I was paired with yin li. You three were joking, teasing, hoo haa with one another while I entertain myself as an observer. And it just clicks there, perhaps.

Form 1, 13 years old, 2005
Alan Tham Joon Jern

Most memorable moment: Introduction to the online game called gunbound. We compared our ranks and skills with one another. Your Chinese New Year open house where I play gunbound at your place with wireless connection, and got disconnected half way in the game for quite amount of times. Your house is big, and you are a rich guy.

We fought together before once for the same girl we both like, after school just outside field from the school. We were disliking each other by then, I took your bag away, wanting to throw it aside. You were pissed, shouted at me to reclaim your bag back. You snatched it away from my hand, and you spray your water from your bottle to my face and body. I ended up went home tearing, my brother saw me I got bullied, asked me if I need any help. I denied the offer.

The next day, I played mind games and acted cool throughout the day, swap seats back with tek shern to sit with aik boon (it was originally me with aik boon, and tek shern with joon jern on the first few weeks when we are new and don't know each other, aik boon is like my first new friend formed in this school while tek shern and alan were classmates back in primary school), interact with others and making it seems like nothing has happened at all. It worked, because by the second half of the day itself, you started talking back to me and we are friends again!!

Form 2, 14 years old, 2006
Mok Tek Shern

Most memorable moment: The reason I started exploring porn, literally. Got the first source from you, you sharing your experience of porn to me when I haven't join the dark side just yet. And so much more, explicit ones which I won't reveal much here.

Known for your stingyness in sharing with friends, especially when it comes to food. Food = money. One prime example is when you brought cheesebread to class, peng choong was hungry and request to have some bite of it. You actually charge him 1/4 of the portion for 40 cent, which he refused to pay at the end.

Also the one where you challenge peng choong to hang your hand on the chair to reveal the veins, and to see who could last longer. It was funny because you both are suffering from it when the blood circulation is being affected by it, you guys rather suffer in pain than to admit defeat to the other party. You and peng choong would always have something up to do or challenge one another which is really funny to me.

Others involving hanging out at sherwin place everyday before class, or at yours with that one specific day you were playing dynasty warrior with your ps2. Times where we vandalize all our class school tables, thinking that its cool when the table is full of scribbles and our marks of "xx was here". Most importantly, having each other's back when we are frequently bullied by the people in our class.

Aaron Ong
Most memorable moment: DotA. Lent me a solid account which allows me to play at blueserver on frequent basis. Back then I had to share with a friend's account which it's hard for me to play when the account is being used. ReViLioN and ReViLioN2, never forget.

Joined in my class in the middle of the year, and became gaming buddies along side with hwa jem and peng choong, and ocassionally tek shern. A very nice friend, always to help out and showing good sense of trust. Used to hang out a lot at your place, at times staying over just to play games and chill all day. Your mom is really nice person, offering good hospitality when I was at your place, and almost always willingly to pick us up from pyramid back home when we hang out. At times you feel there isn't a need to trouble your mom, where we took bus to pyramid together, quite often in fact. Your house will always be the stop where I wait for my parents to pick me up.

Still remember there's one time we chilled and talked in the bus for two hours plus while on the way back from pyramid back to usj 14 stop, because the bus driver decided to have a break and stopped by the side. It didn't matter with the waiting time, because we certainly enjoyed with our conversation, at least on my perspective. You're like my bus buddy, where I obtain lots of experience from taking bus, allowing me to be very comfortable with taking public bus without fear of being lost or not knowing what to do in given circumstances. 0.70 cent one way non-air cond bus for the win!

Form 3, 15 years old, 2007
Ashton Wong Ken-Zhen

Most memorable moment: Just shifted from SMK USJ13 to SMK Seafield due to parents demand as the school isn't so good with disciplinary or achievement standards, along with me being caught for skipping school. I barely know anyone in the school except for my primary classmates, which they already have their own form of cliques and groups to spend time with. You were the first one who approached me with friendly gesture and intended to be friends with me, knowing that I'm kind off left out most of the time.

You are a really nice guy, which my dad feels it too when your dad and my dad met during report card day. He feels that both of you are really nice people, and a reliable friend to be with. Considering that you were a prefect too back then, you have all the good boy ups which my dad certainly approves, followed by the friendly gesture initiation.
Nothing much to be said, regardless of how we are now, thank you anyhow for making me feel welcomed at new environment, serving me as the building bridges of getting adjusted and feeling comfortable easily over there.

Form 4, 16 years old, 2008
Chan Sze Hou

Most memorable moment: You, again. Enrolled myself into sub-science stream, which you happen to be same too. Instantly clicked considering we knew each other back then. We stayed nearby too, hence convenient for us to hangout together, though it barely happens. Known for barter system of add maths and accounts. You help me with accounts, I help you with add maths.

"11 years of friendship". One you refuse to acknowledge considering we kind of cut from connection in the midst of it. Doesn't matter, still counts to me. Always label the landmark location of my house as "five piece big tree". Literally direct translation.

Lame, and funny. Best joker to entertain us in class whenever we are bored. Conversations will never be dull with your presence. We see it coming from you, but we still fall for it. The only one who managed to make me laugh so much that my cheeks hurt so bad, I beg for it to stop temporarily to allow me to rest.

Form 5, 17 years old, 2009
Saw Wei Zhi

Most memorable moment: 333.15.

"Beauty queen of only eighteen she". "I won't talk, I won't breathe". "I'm colorblind."

Nuff said. (credits to Jun Kang as well)

Both of you are my well deserved homies that help me pass through stages of life deemed as wonderful, and definitely memorable to me.

Thank you for helping in ending my secondary school life in a fashioned way.

Pre-University (AUSMAT), 18 years old, 2010
Steven Chin Hee Chung

Most memorable moment: My first ever official friend in Pre-U introduced during the orientation in groups of 10. Got closest to him among the rest due to highest count of similar subjects taken in our course (English, computer science, and Career & enterprise)

Known for very willing in spending especially in travelling long distance and quality food. Having lunch at bangsar all the way from sunway is near to him. Introduced us quite amount of places with decent food though. Loves taking toll, preferring further distance as long as there is no jam.

Pretty generous in spending on food, willing to volunteering in ordering appetizer/starter to share with all of us, or to treat whoever is seem broke at that moment just so that all of us could enjoy spending time having meal together. Avery friendly and approachable person, though his lame jokes usually don't get the cut, giving cold moments most of the time.

Travelling with trips is easy with his presence, as he is always up for anything that involves fun. Guided me in driving outstation for the first time when I just got my license. Doesn't really count though since he was sleeping throughout the journey and his GPS is the one doing the work. Meanwhile opposite cars were constantly flashing twice, which by right indicating there is roadblock ahead. Being a newbie driver of me not knowing such cultural trends, some form of payment has to be done to ensure our destination to Setiawan can be completed.

The one who brought me to explore places in KL and Bangsar, places which I have close to zero exposure of. First experience of Jogoya included. Brought me once to sungai wang to purchase my then w705 pink phone.

Demand of quality food comes with good cook, fondly remembered by the multiple times of BBQ session at his and Wendee's place where he prepared and provided us sufficient and decent foods to enjoy throughout the night. I used to not eat capsicum, thinking that it's a chilly skin which is spicy, but it is unmannered for me to be picky in his self-prepared satay stick which contains both meat and capsicum. Was somewhat obligated to eat all of it, but ended up enjoyed capsicum ever since as it actually taste sweet and good.

Yap Mun Keong
Most memorable moment: One who tags along with my stupidity. We laugh at stupid things, we do stupid things together, we enjoyed doing stupid things together.

Only got closer to him on second half of the year. How it happened I'm not too sure, but it just that I was being lame to him in class, and he responded the same way, and it just continued that way up until how we are now. Girls will be definitely in part of our topic conversation, never failed at all times. We spit all our shits each time we meet up and laugh our way about it, and then we are fine throughout the day. Lots of meaningless banter, that is our way of catching up when we hangout. Never fails trying to act all cool in front me all the time.

Midvalley is his favorite hangout place. Used to love both pasta places we usually go, complained about the drop of quality, but still visit there later on. Claims he's good in singing, loves karaoke. Cascada, barbie girl, and tarzan & jane is his theme song.

Very cheerful and funny person to hangout with, but can be all serious when fully committed into something, especially in work related matters. There will definitely be laughter with his influence, whichever way it is based from. Not convinced? Try having both of us at one go, and you'll see how we work our way out.

Your 20th birthday celebration will always be remembered, karaoke and steamboat with some form of awkwardness.
I couldn't help myself but to laugh each time I look back our old pictures together lol

Degree (BPSY), 19-21 years old, 2011-2013
Thaneshvaran Dharmananda

Most memorable moment: Both of us are from AUSMAT, he's taken more of science related subjects, while mine is more of art based, and we didn't have same class together. When your friends thought that you both knew each other before hand and refused to believe the opposite, yep. That's how close we are.
I'm also known as his second girlfriend, as quoted by his girlfriend.
The one who break my false perception of me being a very racist person, when my record of having all Chinese as my guy best friend is ruined by this person.

Those of names who are being mentioned above, just want to say thank you very much because you guys were the ones who I look forward to everyday and to rely upon if I needed your help in each part of my timeline throughout my study life. How you see may differ from how I see it is, but you are those who it really matter to me at that point of time, which helped me in growing and shaping myself.

And this marks the day where I am officially graduated in my degree of Psychology. No longer being a student and pursuing studies, moving on to the path of working life. More to learn, more to come. Responsibility rising and maturity peaks, hope all goes well.

Happy Birthday daddy, I love you. Thank you for the hardwork, patience and understanding going through me, especially I'm one of impatience and impulsive son.
